Debit Card Lost How Pay Now?

I lost my BoA bank card recently I filed for a replacement but probably won't get it for at least a week. How would I pay my for groceries without my debit card?

could you ask the bank to hurry it up, a week seems a long time to wait. I would press them for a replacement now. Do you have any other cards?

could you go into your bank with some ID proof of your bank account and ask to get some cash.

I've got a paypal card that's about it. I need to transfer money to my paypal account and that can take more than 48 hours.

i don't know anything about paypal, sorry. I would go into the bank and tell them what's happened. see what they say.

He can’t get cash without his card. He’ll need to go to his bank.

assuming that he has no cash..... i have been in this situation, where the atm swallowed my card. Its tough without a card.

The only alternatives are to use a credit card or borrow some money until you get the card.

If you do on-line banking you could have transferred money to a friend/family member from the lost card account, as it were.
Too late, I'm afraid, if you've already informed the bank.

Informing the bank of a lost card doesn’t normally mean that your entire account is blocked. Using your online banking to transfer money to a friend or relative should be work perfectly.

The online pin is different from the one for atm. He could also get cash at a branch of his bank. That's what I did when I lost my cards a few months ago. Replacement is usually 5 working days.
Hmmm...just realised he said BofA...is that Bank of America?

BoA is Bank of America. Poster could be in US. They need to go into a bank, use a cheque if they still have them or withdraw money through the teller in the bank

Here's a tip - always have a back-up card for another account with a few quid/dollars in it. If your main one goes walkies or the bank's IT system fails you will have a short term alternative.

In this case shop locally & ask for "tick" or get a loan from a pal.

Mind you a week isn't long to go without eating (much). I have enough stuff in the cupboards/fridge to survive longer than that.

Another tip is to keep a bit of cash in the house for emergencies.
