You do a debt managment plan and agree a monthly payment . You then pay this to them at beginning of month and they pay the people you owe money to.
They are also really nice when you call them.
CCCS is the consumer credit counselling service or something like that.

I have to agree with Topsie. I used the CCCS and my debts were way more than yours. They were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. They are always there to fight your corner and don't take any nonsense from your debtors. Also, as they are a non-profit making organisation, your debtors are more likely to work with them, than with firms that charge for their services. After all, your debtors will tell you that all the while you're paying a fee to a firm, that money could be going towards paying off your debts.

but from what I gather both CCCS and Payplan appear to be highly recommended.
