I am about to take out a mortgage with my fiance. The 10% deposit we are putting up is from my savings entirely. Can I have this stated anywhere? I want something in writing either in the mortgage or something from the solicitor that states I put the deposit forward. Any ideas?

Well I would imagine if you show a transfer of money from your accout to the building society or whatever then that is proof - however I presume you are doing this in case things go wrong in the future ... however much we hope they won't this site is full of people who end up wanting to split and one has paid much more towards the property than the other. However as you are getting married I don't think it would make much difference at the end of the day because you will both own all the house, unless you owned it as tenants in common instead of joint tenants which you may not have thought about. Good luck.
I think the solicitor acting for you can stipulate that you and your boyfriend become "joint tenants" with you owing a bigger percentage reflecting your deposit.

Your solicitor can draw up a Deed of Trust stating the conributions you both put into the property and how the proceeds of sale should be divided if you were to split up, eg 60% to you and 40% to your fiance
