Last year i put my debts over to the Consumer Credit Counselling Service. I own 25% of my home on the Shared Ownership Scheme - what are my chances of getting a mortgage to buy 100%?

If you have defaults on your debts you may get a mortgage but on a higher interest rate than most banks will offer - CCCS would be able to help you out with a mortgage lender.

If you've been declared bankrupt - I would say, you've no chance!

Have a look at www.mquk.co.uk.

I was made bankrupt 3 years ago and they have manged to sort a mortgage for myself. Though flip flop is right the rates will be higher for the first 2 years.
