does anyone know of a link or website that you can sell/advertise your house for free ? i have googled but , the sites that i've found all charge a fee ! i was told by someone (they couldn't remember the website) that this could be done & they had sold thier house in 2 days without having to pay any advertising fees on that particular website, does or has anyone ever heard of this ? (or is this person pulling my leg?) any help greatly appreciated. thanks.

funny haha
There are sites out there, don't know what they are but I'd be surprised if somebody sold there house within 2 days using this method, I'd be even more surprised if having had such fortune they couldn't remember the name.

While they have a terrible reputation estate agents do a lot of running around for you and you need to be under no illusion that selling privately could be a serious pain in the neck.

what..the? thank you very much :-)
what/the's suggestion is good but it still costs 89. Personally I think that if you put it in your local daily/evening paper you will get better coverage and what is more 89 will get you at least 2 or 3 weeks full coverage including the local property paper.
Now I sold my last property (8 months ago) through a company called 'Half-a-percent' because that is what they charge+ 250 for marketing. The only down-side is that they don't have a shop to display details. Other than that they do all that any other estate agent does i.e. boards, adveriising, chasing up prospects etc.
