i was fortunate in getting free shares when companies demutualised. When the dividends are payed there are tax credits.I know there was a change in the law about this some time ago.Can one claim for this? My husband pays tax on his pension but I am a non-tax payer.
i have no doubt this has been answered before but would be grateful for help.

You cannot claim tax refunds on dividends I'm afraid the tax is not refundable. Even if you are a non tax payer.
