I have �2000 worth of shares in Severn Trent that I want to sell, however I don't know the best and cheapest way to do it, any advice please.

Hi take a read of this link, it has some good tips, it isn't worth going to local stockbroker as they normally can be a bit snotty and some only want to deal with registered clients, but your bank could do it for you if the link isn't any good for you, Ray

When did u buy the shares and at what price. If the shares are near your average price you can sell them. The best way to execute the shares is to make an average of the shares purchased. If you square up your shares at an Average price you wont be facing too much loss with some profit and your trading account will be stable.
