Visa card fraud

My sister has had two transactions of 50 each taken from her current account. The bank insists that it had to be her or someone who had her card. This is absolutely impossible. She NEVER use the hole in the wall and NO ONE knows her pin number and it is not written down anywhere. Sheis a widow and lives alone. she always get money back by using cash back. This is driving her mad! Does anyone have any idea how this could happen?

that is one option - the other option if she buys on the internet - if it is a small company somebody shifty there will use the card . Last month I got 30 used from my card - i live in belfst - but the card was used to top up a mobile in Oxford.
i have to say abbey paid me back no problem - I had to go and fill in a form - so surely i think the money is in the care of the bank they should be looking after it. Good luck

Whilst credit and debit cards are usually a secure way of paying for things they can be cloned by dishonest people.

Thing to do is to find out wheree these transactions are taking place an ATM, shop or online shop.

you would think if it had been cloned they would have taken more than 100.00..
I have had issues with a Tescos Visa card, over 600.oo but the c/card people rang me to check the transactions..Something triggered there security, they assured me my pin had not been compromised and my card is hardly used and certainly didnt leave my sight at any time..It appears there is some loop hole that can be used by fraudsters but for obvious reasons the c/c people wouldnt tell me

My Husband's business card was used to purchase goods a few weeks ago. They were small amount to begin with, then within an hour, the totals got larger. It was used in San Jose.
He was refunded eventually by the bank, as they had their Fraud Dept look into it. Seems that someone at some point, swiped his card during a transaction.
