Student Loan Repayment - Defer?

Hi there,

I have a student loan (from 2001) and i pay it back from my monthly salary.

I currently pay 1-% on anything i earn over 10k a year.

Is there any way to defer this payment?

If you pay it back through your wage, the correct figures are 9% of your residual earnings above �15,000.

There is no way to defer this type of repayment.
If you started in Higher Education before September 1998, the rules were different, and the above comment might not apply to you (you don't say if the loan started in 2001 or that's when you graduated).
