lloyds hbos takeover

i am employed part time in a halifax agency, the first i heard of a takeover was today on the news does anyone know what will happen to our jobs as we are obviously the the minions who are the last to hear anything, i dont know how we are supposed to reassure our customers when we are treated like mushrooms.... ( kept in the dark and fed on s***e

i work for lloyds tsb, but we're not effected (hope not), infact we may have to do more work and deal with HBOS customers aswell!!! there are only three of us dealing with 28,000 business customers.. arghhhhh....
ihope u wont be effected jayney but i guess ur bosses/supervisors r puzzled as u r. they will have a meeting with you guys once they know what will happen.

I lost my job at RBs when they took over NatWest, it is not always the company being taken over that has the job losses. In your position, you may be ok as Lloyds don't have the same service, they may want to keep that on. I would however start to look for something else before you have even more competition, you never know what might come along. I presume that it is not worth hanging around for a good redundancy payment?
