VAT reclaim

How do I go about claiming VAT back, my husband is reg blind and has recently bought a WI FI internet radio & modem, we think we can claim the VAT back b ut Comet said they dont do that we will have to claim ourselves, how do we do this pls ?

Comet are not correct is in saying that this scheme has to be done DIY, but I suspect that they are correct in not allowing your claim because I do not believe such generally-available products are covered by the scheme. Special equipment is allowed, but this product may not qualify. HMRC VAT group run a Help-Line - phone and ask them on 0845 010 9000.
