Credit Debit Card's UK

Hi,

I wanted to get VISA or Master card in UK but no luck as I have very bad credit history. Capital one asked �200 deposit for a master card with �200 credit limit adn %29.9 APR. It is no good to me as I will be paying %30 interest for my own money! I want to get Pre paid card, I don't want any credit, I have good income and I need a visa or master card. Any info how to get one?(any visa or master would do as I don't want credit facility)

If you pay off the outstanding amount each month, the amount of interest will be irrelevant as you won't pay any! If you don't want any credit, I presume that is your plan.

Take the Capital One, pay it off religiously & convince them that nowadays you are a good risk.

Why if you don't want credit do you want a credit card (serious question)? You can just as easily get a VISA Debit card which functions in exaclty the same way.

I don't care if it is credit or debit card. I prefer Debit VISA card, but with my current credit status I can not get any VISA debit card. DO you know someone who offers VISA debit easier than others?

a cashminder bank account with the co-operative bank offers a visa electron card (debit card) if thats any use!

I already have Electron Visa and Solo card but in many big restaurants, bars I can't use them. I also shop online and there is not much use for Electron or solo. I need a straight VISA card(delta) I don't want cheque card or overdraft or any credit facility. Can Citi Bank Direct Current Account be an answer to my question??
