Is there a company that buys pensions.Can I sell them an old company scheme and do they give good deals???

There was an article in today's Times (London, England) about this. I did not read it in full, but I did notice something: it says if somebody wants to buy it, then it is probably worth you keeping it.
No, you cannot sell your pension. If you are age 50 or over (age 55 after 6 April 2006), you may be able to take benefits from the pension depending on the type of pension. If you think you can take benefits, ring the pension company and ask for details of benefits.
