Simple Mictowave Combination Oven
10 Answers
My 82yr old mother can't bend down to her oven any more and my partner suggested getting her a microwave combination oven. But she's not good with digital stuff and would need something that is really easy to work and understand.
anyone any ideas?

You could look at the Daewoo KOC9Q3T Combination in Black or Cream which costs around £90 and has to be one of the cheapest around. If you want to spend more, one of the most popular is Panasonic NNCT552 at around £170. This model has several "auto" programmes which your mum might find helpful. I have had Panasonic Combi ovens including this one and it was great. We used it frequently in place of our normal cooker. It did great jacket spuds too! We only replaced it when we had a new kitchen and opted for a built-in one. Good luck
Even at 82 I think with a simple set of instructions written out by her daughter to do the simple tasks, and ignore all the sophisticated set-ups one can use, I would have thought any combi ought to fit the bill.
Just don't accidently put both conventional and microwave on at once, (as I did the first time I used one thinking the microwave *** was a timer).
I suspect digital displays might actually be easier. Or you could opt simply to get a small conventional oven to put on a worktop or shelf.
