Help With Little Sister

my little sister is having a hard time lately and has been waking up terrified at night to point she emails me. (i am at college), i want to help her but im not sure if im making the problem worse by emailing back everynight or if im helping......what do i do she is 12 and i care about her a lot

Why does she contact you rather than the responsible adult she is with ? Maybe you could suggest she find comfort from them as they are in a better position to handle the situation.

@Old_Geezer she is very closed off to most and because the nature of our "wonderful" fathers job she is with different people every week until friday and is back on monday night

Then responding with sympathy is probably the best option. Stress it's ok and will turn out well eventually.
