Some weeks ago I posted a thread about my daughter fostering to adopt a 10wk old baby girl.
Today was the farewell meeting between the birth mother and my granddaughter. Sad in a way for the mother, but excellent for the baby and my daughter...she will be joining a very loving family :-)

Is she formally adopted melv? Whatever, I think it's lovely for your family, good luck :)
Very bitter sweet, but, lovely for you and your family though.

God luck to you all.

Not yet, eth. We've got to wait for the courts to do their business. It should be some time early next year.

Thanks, rocky.
Someone close to me has adopted siblings, much love and joy has been brought to the family. It is sad for the birth mum without a doubt but has also given these children a wonderful life. I wish you all the very, very best :)
Pleased for your family, so sad for mum though .
Can you tell us her name yet, or is it still hush, hush?

Very bittersweet but wonderful for your family xx
I hope everything works out well for everyone involved.x
It seems to take a long time to adopt or foster a child. Even allowing from the background checks. It is so good that they have their baby and that at some point she will be officially your granddaughter.

Maybe next time they would consider a puppy or kitten - much faster adoption process. :-D

There is always a tragic backstory to any adoption or foster process. Th important thing is that the process is best for the child. I'm sure that your Granddaughter will have a lovely life and will be cherished by her new family.

Good luck and best wishes to you all.
I am pleased for your family.
fingers crossed for all..........
