My ex partners 17 yr old daughter wants to come back & live with me, as she is so unhappy with her mother and mothers new partner, it is now beginning to affect her education ( A Levels ). Although not her natural father I have been her "DAD" for the last ten years. (She does not want to see her natural father)-----Can she legally do this? or do I have to go to the courts.

I thought at 16 you could live where you want without parental permission.
