i have 2 boys ages 2 and 3. they are both pretty clever for there age and love to use my computer. the thing is i have a brand new system and i try not to let them on it. they both a computer in the nursery they are at. do you think it would be useful to buy them there own. i know people are going to say they are only 2 and 3 and there too young. but i was thinking of a cheap second hand system, nothing special and no internet on it. they would use it to just do writing on and play childrens games.any thoughts on this? my partner is saying they are too young but as i see it they know how to use my one and if i only by them educational games they will benefit from it,

Hi lozzylou - I have a 5 year old son who uses my pc and he can access the internet. He puts ceebies and Thomas the tank engine games on - check them out - Your kids will like them.
Also don't worry about zacsmaster he's a dick and that's why this site disappoints me, you ask a genuine question and some idiot try's to belittle you. there's no need for it

I think it's a good idea as long as you restrict its use and invest in some really good educational software games which will help them develop their skills, rather than some of the mindless games which are available. It will also hopefully ensure that your valuable new computer doesn't get interfered with.
Just one thing though. Please don't let them neglect their reading skills and books. These too are very important, and if children are encouraged to enjoy reading when young, this will stay with them all their lives.
