Seek legal advice. There is no hard and fast rules about this. My understanding is that if it where he lives you cannot remove him but if there are extenuating circumstances it may be possible.
Although the house is in a way legally yours as your the one on the agreement i think you would still have to give him suitable notice to vacate and do that in writing etc. I think he will have tenents rights. Put this question into law and you will probably catch someone who knows more on subject. Good luck xxx
He would only have access to his stuff .. and the police would reluctantly accompany him in to get this stuff. However, if you pack it all up and leave to be collected, he would have no right of access.

Thanks for all your help. It looks like I might have to go down a legal and/or police route to get him out. The big bruise on my chin where he punched me should help though!!
sorry to hear that bookworm. You need to get the police to remove him asap, go and report him straight away and they will get him out for you. good luck
