It's not as hard as it seems - just look at what you eat and don't use any salt or sugar in her food - something like a roast dinner with veg would be great for her and let's face it - home-made *has* to be better than jars/packets - at least you know exactly what's gone in.

I got a good few recipes on Ebay - cost 99p but cheaper than a book and they are really good.  Just look in the search bit for baby food and I'm sure you'll get lucky.  It was things like Roasted veggies, Pork and Pineapple and lots more - gave me the confidence I needed to get away from commercial food and worked out a HUGE amount cheaper.  I actually had a recipe book before - some Australian magazine type thing, but I gave up on it as it seemed like a huge amount of work for one meal.  Now I concetrate on cooking large amounts of foods that can be frozen.  If you're a working Mom I guess time is very precious, so it would make sense to spend the same amount of time but get three or four times the amount at the end.

Simple things for breakfast like porridge and Ready Brek are great for them - no added sugar or salt which is great.  Pureed apple or pear can be added to these to give a different flavour - hark at me the expert!!

Good luck with your little girl and all the best with cooking!

Happy Eating!

Annabel Karmel does a good baby and toddler recipe book ...
Yes Annabel Karmel's Baby and Toddler Cookbook. Also Toddler Healthy Eating Planner by Amanda Grant. Think that is available on Amazon.
hi I made homemade food for all 5 of my children, it is so easy, mashed potato and lemon sole (poached) is great to start with, if you have a blender it is so much easier. I even steamed liver ( which I hate) but it is great for them, soup is another great one, We ate so much healthier when the children were little as whatever we had I would make extra and blend it. Just remember not to add salt. Mine were brought up on porridge for the mornings. They are now 17 , 15  (twins) and 13 (twins), they do go through fussy stages but at least they had a good start. good luck and happy blending.
would definitely reccommend anything by Annabel Karmel (including the Family Food Planner).  The books have been a huge success for my 19month old son, who loves everything, and now eats alot of what we eat without any problem.
I don't think you need a cookery book, just give your daughter the same as you eat, but liquidise it.  My sons had liquidised everything (I used to grate roast beef, roast chicken, etc. on a grater) and now they are strapping lads of 13 and 9 years that eat any vegetable, spinach, broccoli, cabbage, you name it, they'll eat it, much to the amazement of their friends.
In case you're interested there is a website called www.babyspoon.co.uk. It costs 2 for membership which compares well with books.  However I have found the Annabel Karmel books helpful myself.
