Mine was Fry's Turkish Delight with the chocolate on it melting over two burned fried eggs, which I would eat quickly.  I still laugh when I think of my hubby's face watching me eat them!
Yes, number one it was grapes (very civilized!) and number two it was pickled onions! Funnily enough, neither time could I stand even the smell of a chinese takeaway/restaurant!
That's interesting spudqueen, about the smell thing.  I couldn't stand the smell of flowers, they made me feel ill.

With my 1st, I had a craving for chili con carne filled jacket potatoes which wasn't what I really needed with terrible acid heartburn !

With my 2nd, I had such damn awful even worse acid heartburn throughout the whole 9 months that I craved Gaviscon - and got through bottles and bottles of it, through absolute necessity !

I did crave watermelon ..... I believe it's an alkaline food and think my body was craving it to counteract the acid perhaps ?

With my first baby my craving was for hot cross buns stuffed with picked onions - the large, golf ball size make your eyes water type. With my second baby I craved the smell of Campari. I didn't want to drink it, just sniff it. I decanted a small amount into a pop bottle so I could carry it with me and sniff away to my hearts content. Weird.
My wife didn't have any food cravings, but used to stand for ages in Tescos smelling the different soaps.

only had one baby.  Wanted to eat all the fruit I could lay my hands on (which is not hugely unusual for me) but what I really, really loved, was crunching ice cubes!!!  YUM!!

mine was cadbury fingers dipped in mayo, and also when ever i saw chalk i would dribble (i cant stand chalk!)

Mint sauce on everything.

Also oranges and huge glasses of milk and I have never drunk milk since, yuk!

im glad its not just me thats wierd .......x
with my son i craved coffee! and i ate alot of gummy snacks. with my daughter it wasflounder stuffed with crab meat with mashed potatoes and gravy! wow that sounds good rite now!
With my 2 daughters it was sharp tasting bitter lemon or sour lemon drop sweets. But with my son it was the smell of petrol.
The dog biscuits I can't relate to but I have had an apple craving during this pregnancy. Luckily that's the only one although weirdly I could happily live off only sugary foods and never eat a savoury. I'm having a girl so perhaps that's why. I have completely gone off some previously favourite foods like sweet potatoes and spaghetti bolognese. I'm wondering if the taste for them will come back or not?

callisto, as you know I am only just past my 1st trimester, even though it's early days I cannot get enough meat like well cooked pork chops, sausages & mince! I am not veggie, but could count on 1 hand how often I would eat meat (except chicken) in a month.

I could list all night the things that I don't want to eat or the smells that make me sick!

I loved your questions & seeing all the weird & wonderful things that could be happening to me very soon.

Three babies, only one craving: porridge with melted Cheshire cheese on the top. It had to be Cheshire. I only realised when he was six months old that this may have been a bit unusual. I think it affected his personality.
Peaches and Horlicks with the 1st, nothing with the second, wasnt i lucky!
