I had a look at baby annabel on amazon and read one review that said all the doll ever does is cry! and her daughter played with it for 15 mins and its been at the bottom of the toy box ever since! To be honest i havent looked at Baby Born. However......
If you take a look at the Early Learning Centre site they have a doll called Baby Millie and it looks like she does the same things more or less as Baby Annabel though she is only 30 instead of 35 and it doesnt state that the doll needs batteries either (which is always a agood thing). ELC also have an offer on and Baby Millie comes with a free accessory set (worth 25) which i think is fab! So all in all i think that this is the best deal around at the moment.
Would be interested to know what you think as i am still looking at the moment but havent found any better yet.
ELC site is www.elc.co.uk if you want to take a look
Thanks for all your replies.
I think I'm going to go for Baby Born. I like the fact that it wets and uses the potty (my daughter is potty training) and eats actual baby food. It'll be like having a newborn again considering you have to buy packs of nappies and food!
The negatives I suppose are that it doesn't close it's eyes to sleep like the other dolls mentioned.
Toys R Us are selling Baby Annabel at the moment with 15 off!! 19.74 is pretty good, but from what you've said she doesn't sound like that good a buy. I do like the fact that she burps and sleeps though!
Such tough decisions!
Hey, that's true, I've ordered many times off Amazon and you only get free delivery on orders over 19, otherwise it's about 3-4. I think the food in Toys R Us was about 3.50 so it would be cheaper unless I make a big order from Amazon to make it worthwhile (hmmm... sure I could manage that...)!!
Another thing which might sway your decision is that Baby Born doesn't need batteries!
Hope you decide soon!
