We are soon going on holiday to a caravan park and would like to take my 4 month old baby swimming as my 3 year old daughter loves it, but i don't know what swim aid will be best as he can't hold his head up on his own yet. I have seen the swim seat type things which my daughter had but she was older and i am not too sure what you do when he is so small, although they do say from 3 months yet the baby on the packet can obviously sit unaided. Anyone know what to use?

don't think there are any aids you can / or should use at that age... you just need to hold on to the little one all the time in the shallow end... also note that a special type of nappy / swimming costume is needed to get in the water (the pool needs to be closed if babe has a nasty accident in the water).
only 4 months old! I agree, hold on to the little one.
Get a baby float (10 from Tesco). My baby is also 4 months old and he was fine in it. (You obviosuly have to hold onto the float and make sure he's steady.) If he can hold his head reasonably well -even if it's a bit wobbly-then he'll be fine.
It means he'll be able to stay in the water far longer than if you were just to hold him...he'll not get hassled! Nice to take him out as well though!
don't keep baby in too long - at that age they get cold so quickly, even more so with water (even if it is heated) and a swimsuit involved!
i wouldnt worry about floats yet as he will only be able to be in the water a short time. just enjoy the skin contact and have fun
