i think so, I definately flew alone to Portugal from Glasgow when I was sixteen. And in fact, on the flight home, my friend who was 15 flew with me. But I wonder if I counted as her legal guardian...?
Best always to check with each airline as they have different rules and it would be awful to turn up and then find they could not go unaccompanied. I know some airlines are ok with it though because my neice flew to Croatia when about 14.
yes. my niece stayed in germany and travelled over here herself. and she was under 16......still is !
I used to know a young lad who frequently travelled from his parents home, on his own, to visit his relatives in Paris. He was 12 when I got to know the family and he had already been making the journey regularly for a couple of years.

Most European countries have no specific laws relating to a minimum age for travel. (I think that Italy may have certain restrictions). In general, the only restrictions are those put in place by the various carriers. Most budget airlines, for example, won't carry unaccompanied persons under 16 years for insurance reasons.
