Pregnancy belly bars

I replaced my original metal bar with a plastic type pregnancy one yesterday as my bump is getting bigger and i was concerned about the metal one.
To steralise/clean it before inserting into pierciing i used watered down Savlon liquid. Is this ok to use? I am a bit worried that it may be absorbed into my skin and harm the baby?

I'm sure it will be fine, the best thing to use though is just boiled water with salt and let the bar boil for a few minutes.
