Looking for some advice... I was told by my midwife that my baby is now traverse and have to go for a scan next week... Does anyone know if it is it possible at this stage for the baby to turn back into position or will I have to have a c-section?

It is possible it will turn and they will definitely check before deciding to go for the c-section option; having said that even if you end up with having a c-section don't be alarmed - a friend of mine had a c-section for that very reason and her son is the most beautiful kid I know (he's now 3) Good luck whatever happens.

There is plenty of time for baby to turn, and the doctors may even help it on its way if they decide that's a valid course of action. If not, a c-section is perfectly routine, and your baby will be fine either way.
I did!! when my mum was pregnant with me i was the worng way round and the doctor said that i would be born by caesarean but i tunred around 5 days before i was born.
It will probably turn - my baby was also the wrong way round at 37 weeks and when I went to visit the midwife at 39 weeks she'd turned round. (You'd think you'd feel them turning at that size but I didn't.) I guess babies want to be born the right way most of the time!
My son turned very late, it made me feel ill when he did! and my whole shape changed, that was a few weeks before he was due

Cheers all for your help... has made me feel a bit better :o) xx
My eldest was born breach & my twins the normal way. No probs at all.
Someone I worked with recently faced the same problem - she was told to walk around on all fours as often as possible ... apparently it's supposed to work - and it obviously did for her - she had a normal delivery.
