Hi I have a questions about my seven & a half month old granddaughter she has an awful temper when you try to dress her after her bath or if she if hungry. Please answer I am very concerned. Thank you

Dear Grandma Lu, don't be overly concerned, she is just finding out that she can do something about things she doesn't like. Its amazing how young children/babaies can be when they realise they have a will to do something! My daughter used to scream her little lungs out, or wave her arms around, inevitably scratching my face. It is nothing personal, she is just asserting her authority at an early age. She likes being naked and she knows when she is hungry and this is her way of telling you things. She will grow out of it when she learns to express herself in a different way, bear with it and you will get all the love and affection that Grandma's deserve. But they can be little toads, doesn't mean that they will stay like that, just be calm so that she has nothing to feed off of. My dad always remained calm with mine and it soon wore off, now they are joined at the hip!

Hi Grandma Lu , I totally agree with the above . My daughter , now 2 went through completely the same thing although it was only me she would hit , bite and scratch which used to leave me in tears every night after she went to bed .I started to ignore her behavior and with some persiverence she soon calmed down and became a very loving child !! Hang in there , best wishes !!
