me again!!!!
Parents of teenage daughters, do you have trouble getting your daughter to have lunch when at school?? My daughter wont eat breakfast, leaves her sandwiches and has nothing until shes walking out of skl at 340 then eats her crisps. I asked her last night about having skl dinners as some of her friends do and although she said yes, when I went to give her dinner money this morning she said she didnt think she'd have time to go and eat!!!! Its sooo frustrating, she doesnt attend any lunchtime clubs its purely she's scared of missing something and craves the social aspect of breaktimes only!!!

Your story sounds all too familiar, and I didn't worry too much as she seemed to eat loads at home and was never really skinny when she went through that 'phase'.
I know it's not healthy to skip breakfast and all that but a lot of teenagers do. Just make sure she isn't anorexic or anything.
From all your questions it sounds like you're in for some fun over the next few years.!!!lol
Don't worry.

That's standard teenage girl behaviour I'm afraid. Sandwiches are right out in case they don't meet the correct social criteria - which is impossible, becuase it changes daily, and school dinners are far too naff, so the 'cool' in the school skip lunch.
As long as your daughter appears healthy, don't worry about it. Teenagers are physically far more resiliant than we as parents imagine, or indeed remember. It's one less battleground to war in, and let's face it, we can all do with minimising reasons to fall out!

hello im a 16 year old girl and i did the same thing to my mom... i hated eating at school because i felt fat and didnt want other people to say i was and that i eat a lot...i hated eating breakfast because its so early that i never wanted to eat... over that whole year i lost 15Lbs. my mom started getting scared, then made me eat. after school she would cook and watch to make sure i ate... im not saying to make your daughter eat, but she will. its just a thing us teens go through.. so worried what other people think. its stupid but really hard to stop.
