at that age they want to investigate and explore, they touch everything they shouldnt, make sure you have socket covers and stuff. its not important at this stage to pay with toys that are made to be played with, he'll learn and develp anyway, try giving him a small pan and a wooden spoon, he'll love playing drums, a cardboard box can also be exciting for him, try different household objects which are safe to play with. wooden pegs, ( not the sort with metal bits) can have faces drawn on them, they make great puppets to entertain him. with a bit of imagination the world is your oyster, enjoy your son while he's young, before you know it he'll be a sulky teenager. lol.
