hi, i have a 18 month old son and when ever he sits on his knees, as soon as he tries to stand up he cries in pain and cant put his weight on his legs. weather he be on his knees for 5 minutes or an hour he is still the same
any ideas why this could be?

Not really sure what it could be as I have not come across it before but I would think it best to get it investigated by your doctor. In the meantime, try and discourage him from sitting in that position.
Has he got cramp? I'd seek medical advice if I were you. x.

not sure if it is cramp or not. it only happens when he gets up from sitting on his knees. he is refusing to sit in his high chair now so likes to sit up the big table on his knees. i will ring the health visitor i think and see what she thinks
Have you thought of getting him a booster sit so he can sit at the big table without sitting on his knees? My nephew has one that is strapped to the chair and he is strapped into too so its nice and safe and he loves being at the table with everyone else.

hi psychick we have a booster seat but he wont sit in it he just throws himself back
