what does one dress boys in usually to make their first holy communion? id rather not put him in a suit.
prev I am 17 years old with a baby, and the father of the baby won't help financially or with child, what can I do?

When my sons did their first communion I dressed them in a white shirt,tie and smart trousers.

Hi,

I did the same, smart trousers and a white shirt. My church stipulated that he had to wear a red tie, i'm not sure if this is the same for all or just their preference, but if my memory serves when i made mine, all the lads wore red ties then too.
