Hi, just wondered if any of the more experienced parents have any advice as I am a first time Mum so can be over anxious...
My 2 yr old went to sleep last night then started crying about 10 mins later, I went in to find him absolutley covered in vomit, like everything he had eaten that day came out. There was def some of hs lunch in there. He was shaking-he has never been sick since he was a baby so he was terrified about what had just happened and after I showered him and took his temperature -which was normal- he went back to sleep and slept all night. Today he was full of it as usual, had a big appetite and after lunch deeming him fit and well his nanny took him to hers for his fortnightly visit. He threw up in the car-again, A LOT, and his Nan said afterwards he was fine and running around again. Does anyone know what this might be?
Many thanks in advance

Hi Schlomo just a suggestion but could he be putting something in his mouth (fingers or toy etc) and he has found his gag reflex?? My little fella did this a couple of times when he was around 18 months - I think he thought my reaction was entertaining (kids eh??!) Hope this helps x
It could also be a bug. In this cold weather there are all sorts of things going around.
As long as he's ok and make sure he's drinking fluids since he's losing fluids when vomitting.
Could he be eating too fast & not chewing his food fully?
my son had a similar bug a few years ago, normal by day and sick at night, it did go away after a few days, after it went though he did go through quite a tired phase where he would just lie down and wouldnt eat much.

hope yours is okay, keep his meals light

Thanks to you all for your advice, he seems to be okay today...so far!!! Upsy Daisy, the gag reflex story is something to bear in mind as when I was trying to check his throat the other day he gagged and laughed, may be something to bear in mind for future reference!!! Thanks again to you all :O)
