My 2 year old keeps waking at 2pm

My son is 30 months old. Recently he keeps waking at 2am asking for a cuddle, or failing that asking to go for a wee when he doesnt actually need one as he knows this will work. Its quite apparent that he is trying it on 90% of the time. Obviously its tricky as you dont want him using the nappy when he is potty trained! Any ideas why suddenly he is waking and demanding these things? I know some might just say "oh well it is the terrible twos" but any advice would be appreciated.

Have you had any changes in your lifes of late?
I have a little boy who is 2 and a half and he does this usually if theres been some changes in our life.
We have had it rough as we had to flee from his dad when he was 6mth old. He also picks up from me when I am stressed and seems to do it then too.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. To be honest to my knowledge nothing has changed lately, he does live away from me with his mum so hard to pick up on everything i suppose. He's got better the past few night so will keep my fingers crossed!
