My daughter has had a wobbly front tooth for MONTHS and won't wiggle it herself.  I am worried it is damaging her new tooth beneath as it is staying put.  If she played with it a bit i'm sure it would come out.  Is it okay to leave it alone?

The tooth will fall out when it's good & ready. Don't worry too much & let nature take its course.
I had two teeth grow over the top of my milk teeth because they refused to budge out of the way (about 2 months).  I looked like dracula!  I had to have one removed by a dentist (the other did eventually come lose with some encouragement!).  There was mention of maybe having to have a brace due to the teeth growing out at a strange angle, but luckily they settled back into place.  My advice, if there is sign of teeth coming through and there is no movement from the milks, go to the dentist (she might wiggle it herself after the mention of dentists!!!).

My son absolutely refused to wobble or pull at his loose tooth recently. It eventually fell out by itself some two months after the dentist said it would be out by the end of the week.

My son's teeth are as stubborn as he is (definately from his mother's side of the family)

I had a tooth fall out after being hit on the head by a football....get her in the back garden and tell she can have a bag of sweets if she can do 100 headers or something...it will soon drop out

sunflower - I know I originally said to let nature take its course, but if you can actually see or feel the second tooth coming through, perhaps you should contact your dentist to  put your mind at rest.

Iron-Fan's suggestion did tickle me though.

I had a baby tooth until I was 13 - it had to be taken out by the dentist as the adult tooth was coming in behind it and then I had to wear a brace for a year to straighten the crooked tooth.  So it's probably best to get it checked, especially if the other tooth is coming through.  Some teeth are just more keen to stay than  others!

I lost my first milk tooth at age 8, pretty late - hated wiggling it, it turned grey and eventually mum pulled it out in desperation during piano practice! My last baby teeth (canines) were pulled out by the dentist at age 16 after showing no inclination to even get wobbly! No problems now with my teeth. Adult teeth are bigger and stronger than the milk teeth and will push them out when the time comes. No harm in asking the dentist though
Do you guys have a Tooth Fairy? Maybe a visit from her would be good incentive to get that tooth out?

most of my teeth came out stuck to food- maybe give her something tough to chew?
