is it possible you are the father? were you in a relationship with the child's mother?
Anyway, if the answer is yes, surely it makes sense to contact the mum and arrange to get to know the daughter? If you are in doubt that the child is yours, then yu need to take steps to verify it

I know for a fact im the father, i know the mother but she caused alot of trouble many years ago, never realised she was pregnant when we parted, so contacting her is out of the option as we dont talk, maybe a dna test is the way forward then getting to know my child, but how does this take place would it be in a contact centre or would i arrange it through my solicitors as i have a family solicitor acting for me at the moment for the 2 children i have in custody! Thanks for your help and advice!
