2. Ruling out any other medical problems, pregnant women just get nauseous. Also a big strain is put on your circulatory system, so we become faint for seemingly no reason. If you actually pass out then this is not good. But if you just feel faint then sit down and keep your legs elevated. You should do this atleast once a day anyway.
3. Basically just get a rounded diet - lots of grains and starches, vegetables, fruits, meats, and dairy. If a food makes you nauseous then don't push it. You might take a supplement - those 'prenatal' vitamins are disgusting and my midwife said I could just take any old multivitam WITH IRON. Iron is very important to a developing baby. Oily fish are good because there a omega-3s in things like salmon. Drink lots of water. Avoid uncooked foods like sushi or cured meats. Avoid lots of mercury-friendly fish like tuna (2 or 3 times a week tops) because mercury is very bad for babies.
Most importantly avoid negative vibes,
don't stress yourself out for not doing things perfectly,
and talk to your belly as often as possible.
Best wishes!!!
continue doing them for months after baby is born. They'll help get everythign back in shape after teh stretching and straining of pregnancy and labour.
If you are doing tooo much and feeling faint, for gods sake stop!!! You do not want to risk increased blood pressure etc, and should never do so much that you feel unwell. That's putting you and baby at risk.
Foods....apart from the usual foods you should have avoided all through your pregnancy (pate, any meat that's not cooked well done, blue cheese etc etc etc) eat what you like. It's a bit late in teh day to be worrying about what you're eating if you've only 5 weeks to go.
I'm a wee bit worried that you're asking these questions. Could you not speak to your midwife or doctor at your next check up? Are you in the UK? For some reason I think you're in the US, and I'm afraid I don't really know how they do things over there, in terms of frequency of check ups etc, but you should probably speak to someone in the medical profession, as you sound a bit unprepared and unaware of what to do.
Good luck with the next few weeks tho. Baby might at arrive at any time now....how exciting is that!! xx
