I asked a question the other day about potty training.

My daughter now pee's great on the potty and does it herself. only problem now is she's scared of doing her poo in the potty or toilet. she's done it once on the potty and once on the toilet. she thought she was making a mess then the next time she done it she was fine. but the other day it was my partner that had to deal with her and i've got my own way of doing it and getting her to stay sitting and she's just not been right since someone else havng to deal with her

now she's holding her poos in and i don't know what to do to get her to stop this. she's eventauly doing it after hours of crying

she was doing so well with the potty, not sure what to do now. any advice would be grateful

awwww poor thing :0(.....dunno if you could reward her for nappy first then do the this is where the poo goes thing? i know she dosent have it all but does supernanny have anything on this mabye i always thought she was good at coming up with the reward thingys?? i know when i was wee i was always constipated etc and my mum had to invent this "magic carpet" wich was a towel haha and i would only do it on that ...i know it sounds disgusting but it got me going!! im not suggesting u have a "magic carpet" lol...but mabye something inventive!?? awww u must b stressed xxx
I know of a small boy who thought he was doing wrong by pooing (there had been an accident and mum had been annoyed) so he thought he was being bad by pooing at all. Lots of reassurance, if you can bear it show her that mummy and daddy poo too - she needs to know it's normal and not wrong, everyone does it. Hard to reason with a toddler, I know!
As far as I remember it was a good while after my daughter started peeing in the potty before she used it for poos. She finally did it of her own accord when I was on the phone to my insurance company and came rushing over shouting 'mum, I've done a jobby, coma and see it', much to the amusement of the woman on the other end of the phone :) But once she got the hang of it that was that - just don't rush her and don't make a big deal out of it either way.
I have also been toilet training my daughter and at first she also was fine with wee but worried about poo. I had to just let her have accidents as she would get upset if i tried to get her to sit on the potty for a poo, i always stopped trying if she was upset, so she had a lot of poos on the floor and in her knickers but every time i said never mind and put the poo in the potty and said yeah thats where poo goes, i did also show her mine in the toilet! then one day she just did it on the potty and was fine, i think maybe you should do this until she isnt worried and just be very relaxed and patient with her, give her lots of water to drink and plenty of fibre and fruit and veg, then she wont get constipated or be able to hold it.
