I toilet trained my daughter in July last year and she picked it up very quickly - we had it mastered in 2 weeks and she was very proud of herself with only a few accidents.
She is also fully trained on a night time now.
Until recently ~ over the last two weeks she has started to have accidents during the day ~ only when were in the house (she always remembers to tell me when were out that she needs to go to the toilet) This is becoming more and more frequent and I do not know what to do???
I have tried talking to her and asking why she is doing it and get the same response "Because I have"
I told her I will put nappies back on her like a baby today hoping this might make her realise what she is doing is wrong, she started crying, said she would not do it again and would use the toilet and still another accident later this afternoon...
Please help - what else can I do???

Twice she has said that she was going to the toilet and then done it on the bathroom floor - when i asked why I get the same response ~ because I wanted too.
cazzz1975 ~ I don't see telling her she will go back into nappies threatening ~ just trying to think of ways to get her out of doing this as I have tried everything...............

Why do you think that she is doing this then as there has been no upset in the family - she is a very happy child and we do lots of things together.
I am finding it very frustrating but do not try to show this in front of my daughter and have gone back to basics but this has not worked, I constantly ask and take her to the toilet and still she is doing this.
What other things can i try?
How can I stop her from doing this ~ at the minute I see no light at the end of the tunnel ~ It just seems to be getting worse with everything I try and I dont know why she is doing it when she was doing so well.............

i wasnt suggesting she is upset, just that the whole putting back in napoies like a baby may make things worse as she may then get upset.
My son wasnt upset about anything, he was just too engrossed in other things and didnt want to stop what he was doing just to go to the loo.
There doesnt seem to be any medical reason if you say she is fine when youre out

I agree with Jack too. One of my girls went through this and like you I tried a few different approaches. What worked in the end was when she came and told me she was wet I would just say I'd left dry pants and trousers on her bed so she could get changed and carried on with whatever I was doing.
Once the attention went away so did the problem.

She has been trained for over a year ~ not needing any reminders just going to the toilet~ it is only the last two weeks that problems have started and nothing in our family life or things we do have trained she is just weeing with no reasons as to why.
I dont think she sees it as a bonus as she gets my full attention all day, this is why i have posted a question in here as we have tried everything and don't seem to be getting anywhere.
