Just out of curiosity.......what where those first signs that made you think "I might be pregnant"? How early did you start getting signs? And I don't just mean missing your periods! lol
I know everyone, and every pregnancy, is different.....I was just wondering how different and what all the different signs are.

i was late but them Im late every month but for some reason I felt different within 5 days on missing period.
I got car sick even though i was sat in front of car and just didnt feel quite right. Its hard to say exactly but i had a good feeling I was pregnant. I hadnt been trying to conceive so its not that I expected it every month either.

I didnt get the sore boobs until much later and I never got sick :)
I had none! Period wasn't late, no sickness, it was my mum who was convinced I was a I had an unexplained gain at weight watchers one week and she craved Curly Wurlys, she forced me to do a test and lo and behold I was pregnant rofl, Emmy is 8 months old now!
metallic taste in mouth, smell went funny (what i could smell, not what i smelled of!!, lol), with 2nd it was sickness. both times i still had achey period type cramps and kept nipping off to the loo, hoping i hadnt come on!
I went off coffee, usually I drink the stuff by the gallon each day but before I did the test I couldn't even go near the smell of coffee! Also the same as missrandom, had a really strange metallic taste in my mouth. I would have only been about 3 or 4 weeks pregnant.
feeling sick and sore nipples as early as not missing my period yet.
Like Bonbon I went off coffee. I also felt 'under the weather' not sick as such..rather like a cold was coming on. I also got sore boobs with every pregnancy very early on ~ in fact with my last two pregnancies I had sore boobs all the way through..it was sheer agony :o(

The first suspision I had was missing a period. Did a home test which was positive, had it confirmed by a doctors test, then had to wait two weeks for the midwife they registered me with to come back from holiday before I could go and see her. At this stage, all I had noticed was putting on a bit of weight, breasts feeling tender (which, at the time, I put down to them being bigger after gaining weight) and missing one period. When I see my midwife for the first time, it turned out I was 4 months pregnant!! I had had two regular periods whilst pregnant and the morning sickness was so little, the two occasions I think I did have it, I dismissed as having eaten something dodgy!

Has anyone ever had a weird feeling in your tummy....almost like an empty feeling, like you need to eat but you know you dont, and one that makes you feel a little bit icky but you dont feel like you want to be sick......and this happens at any time of the day, including at night?
i always feel like i need to eat but no that i dont, and iam not even pregnant!!! but seriously i know what you mean, when i got that i had to have whit bread sarnies with cream cheese and wotsits, that soon cured it! might explain why i out on sooo much weight aswell, hahaha

So it wasn't a symptom of you being pregnant missrandom?
I just figured I was hungry when I had that feeling! That's where I was going wrong - you and me both Miss R - no wonder we had such big babies - must have been all those bogof Magnum's! lol.

Seriously, I had to get up in the middle of the night for a bowl of cornflakes because eating was the only thing that stopped that feeling.

My first symptom was really strange vivid dreams - I figure that I dream in black & white most of the time, but these were full technicolour epics!
well, i try to ignore it now iam not pregnant, i think it was just me thinking, ooh iam pregnant and hungry i had better eat, yipee. i did get that feeling more in my second pregnancy though as i got a bit of sickness, but it wasnt one of my first symptoms, no. i went right off tea and cheese.....but strangely enough that didnt extend to laughing cow and wotsits, bizzare?!
as far as iam concered pregnancy is a time to eat and who cares if u get fat, you can loose after! annie were lucky we didnt give birth to giant magnums (in your case) or a giant wotsit (in my case), lol!
I would buy the 2 boxes of 3 as one box was free. I'd eat one Magnum then another, then i'd think - oh no hubby will know I have eaten 2, so I'd eat another and leave one whole box. Then i'd fancy another one later and would think that's fine, so then there is only one out of the box, so he'll only think i've had one! lol

Seriously though, I ended up with borderline gestational diabetes - I think that's why the babies were so big! So, serves me right.

Can you eat laughing cow and wotsits now, or did that put you off?
can't say that it put me off Magnums, but I don't buy them anymore as I would be like the side of a house. I kicked my 4 a day habit cold turkey!

OK basically, Ive been getting that hungry feeling, yesterday I had it all day no matter what I ate, today it hasnt been so bad. Ive also put on weight quick (normally I struggle to put on any weight although my eating has improved) which mainly seems to have gone to my middle. The past few days my breasts have become tender. Ive not missed a period yet, but I dont know if I can ever use that as a sign judging my last pregnancy.
I dont know why, but I just have this really strong feeling that I am.........is my mind playing tricks on a paranoid me?
I take it that you will be heading to Boots in the morning?
Oooh could we be having another AB baby?

Were you trying, chick? strong feelings may well be a good indication ~ I had that a couple of times :o)
Question Author
I actually did a test yesterday and it was negative.......but I'm still convinced I am for some strange reason.
Question Author
Ummm....not trying, no......kinda have mixed feelings at the moment but we have talked about babies and do plan to go down that route so it isnt going to be unwanted....if you get what I mean lol
LOL yes, I get what you mean :o)

There is such a thing as a false negative..not a false positive, though. If you keep feeling pregnant, keep doing the tests!
