need answer quick!
Hi all this morning woke up with an uncomfortable problem! woke with stomach cramps at the lower end of stomach...and after a while knew i had to go loo, all though my pregnancy iv had constipation, now all of a sudden i have had diarrhea! but i couldn't get off the toilet and had to strip off my pyjamas as started feeling hot, sweaty and very faint. Then to top it all off I started to be sick from the other end. The reason im asking is i have obviosly noticed a change from normal and also my friend and her daughter had similar sounding symtoms last week and they turned out to be a bug! so i was wondering if a bug can harm the baby or even if its not a bug can it harm the baby. Im 4 months pregnant. Please answer soon as I am worrying and want to know what to do! xx

Hi, I had the exact symptoms with my third child only, when I ate eggs, I only ate 3 (with a Satuirday full English) throughout that pregnancy and each time around 7pm on the Sunday I had your symptoms. My colleague who is due in October has had the same experience with Chicken. I normally can eat eggs till the cows come home, so assumed it was the baby who didn't like them, she is now seven and has just started to eat eggs and kind of enjoy them, she completely refused them up until now, which according to some people is the bodies natural reaction to avoid something you are intolerant to, not necessarily allergic to. However if you do find that it is eggs or something else and not a bug, please check the immunisations he/she will get when a baby as I chose not to give her the MMR due to its egg albumin base due to my symptoms during prgnancy when I ate egg. Hopefully it's a bug, but if it isn't it still hasn't been a major problem for us. Good Luck
loza, I had a nasty stomach bug at only 6 weeks but was reassurred that your body will naturally protect the baby against any short term bug like that. Luckily my bug, which like you was diarrhea and sickness, last less than 24 hours.
I was also told to keep eating as I still needed to get the nutrients inside me for me and the baby!
Hope you're feeling better soon :)
