Sorry to dissapoint but I'm still here!
41weeks preg today!

Got my membrane sweep this afternoon so hopefully that'll get the little b&gger moving. I'll let you know how it was & how "ripe" I am.

Hi

I've had my sweep. It wasn't painful but it certainly wasn't a nice experience.

I'm 1cm dilated & mw said everything is looking favourable for a natural labour. She doesn't think I'll last another week.

Bad news - Spud has turned back to back. I'm trying to turn him back. Been on hands & knees all afternoon & now sat on my gym ball. Mw recommended crawling everywhere but my SPD makes it really painful.

May try nookie this evening cos mw said everything is more receptive after a sweep. Here's hoping!

Awww, good luck!

I had a sweep because Mini Boo was 10 days overdue. I had the sweep in the afternoon and by midnight my waters broke (it totally ruined I'm a Celebrity which I was watching at the time!)

She was also back to back, but luckily turned round herself intime for the birth,so I'm sure Mini Pixi_woo will as well.

oh good luck pixie - as i type you may even be in labour (or getting some nookie!) lol.

My little one is only 2/5 engaged so very unlikely she'll be here today (14th!) my due date :o(. Have to see a midwife on Thursday to discuss what shall happen next!!

Gosh the days draaaaaaag in the last few weeks!!!!! xxx

I've had a show!!!!
No other pre-labour symptoms yet so I know it could still be a couple of days away.
I was wondering if I would know when I had a show but you can definately tell.
Just waiting for things to happen now but I finally feel like I've made some headway.

If anyone is offered a sweep I would highly recommend it.

All the pains & illness went away. No twinges today either

Got sweep number 2 tomorrow afternoon, I just can't get enough of them!
While I'm at mw she will confirm my booking for induction with the hospital. Provisionally, I'm booked for 4pm Thurs afternoon for prostaglandin gel which will hopefully get things going overnight. If not then waters will be broken on Friday & induction by drip.

if you have your waters broken and they kick start contractions then ask if they can hold off the drip. The drip can really get things moving fast and can be very very painful apparently. I got an hours grace and i did start my contractions after they broke my waters.

Still here. Knackered today, Spud decided to kick from 10pm til midnight non-stop.
