Just remember, your hormones will soon settle down and your can then fully enjoy your pregnancy and look forward to holding your little bundle of joy in your arms at the end of it all..............that alone definately outweighs the lows of pregnancy!
Glad you're feeling better, I am not too bad at the mo - really excited as I have doctor's appt tonight (my first one!). This may well change within the next hour when I become the cursing, wailing monster that my hubby has come to know over the past few weeks! ;-)
I called the surgery and said "Erm, I just found out I am pregnant, I think I am six weeks and I have never had a baby before so I don't know what to do next!". The lovely receptionist booked me an appt with my doctor and said she'd give me some info, so I am not really sure what to expect!
Where I am, we dont see the doctor first anymore, not even to confirm the pregnancy. I have had my booking in appointment with the midwife and next week is my first scan.........and thats all just from me telling them I had a positive test! (Well, actually I have had 3 because I wanted to make certain!lol) They tell me it is because the home pregnancy test are just as accurate as the hospital test.
Sorry forgot to say, natalie thats pretty much what I did first time round too.......I had had to call the doctors for the result and when she said positive I said now what do I do? lol
Morning ladies! The doc gave me some information and a pregnancy book by the NHS, then she booked me in for my antenatal blood tests (next week) and said that the midwife will call me to arrange my dating scan within the next few weeks, depending how busy they are at the moment. Nothing actually happened with the doc though other than her noting down that I had quit smoking.
