I went looking for maternity clothes yesterday and was absolutley horrified. Have these clothes been designed by some pregnant woman hating person, seriously they were hideous. They looked like rejects from Dr Whos costume department! I should add I that I am not follower of fashon but even I draw the line as these rags. Granted the town I was shopping in may not have the best shops around but really - yuck. Can anyone suggest any decent shops to go to or should I just buy bigger sizes in some clothes? Also, where is my bump? I ordered it on e-bay ages ago and it still hasnt arrived.

Everyone is getting three stars today 4get (even Rev) as I am feeling rather generous.
oooooooooh a little girly!!!!!!!

awww bless, why did you sneak that in in middle, i almost missed it!
As I'm sure you can imagine, I was your 'typical' mum-to-be, either :o)

Don't buy 'complicated' stuff.................once he starts kicking your bladder you'll be wanting things with velcro fastenings...........lol
its 3 star Friday.... Yeeeeeagggghh

LOL redcrx, can't quite believe it myself, I was so sure it was a boy.
Sorry for shouting but

CAN ANYONE ELSE NOT SEE THE BIT WHERE WARPIG SAYS SHE FOUND OUT BABY IS A LITTLE GIRL?????

come on wake up!!!!
Perhaps I ought to go back to bed and start today again !!

I read that as 'knowing about such things is a little girly-wirly' hence my daft response.....

I knew, just knew, that I was going to have a boy. A girl would have been a surprise but not a disappointment...........

But there are SO many more adorable clothes for girls than boys..............I envy you ! x
i have a feeling this one is a boy for me. All the babys in his generation are boys so i dont expect anything else.

There are some beautiful girls clothes about at the moment too
The sister of a school-friend of mine (are you still following ?) had the first male child for 7 generations.................what a party THAT was :o)
Morning warpig sweetie , a little girl on the way I see you found out . Awww , cute. As for maternity clothes ....ha ...I just stayed in my normal clothes but found trousers very hard to find once the bump arrived. There are some shocker styles in the shops but , on the other hand shops like Next have some good ones. :-) xxx
Morning all :-) xxx
can i just ask where you saw these 'unique' styles?

All i can find are work type trousers and I dont want to be wearing them all the time

Well the shopping centre I was is wasn't the most up-market place I have to admit. the clothes in Mothercare were terrible, I also looked in New Look (i think) and some shop called Ethel something (although I was not sure whether they were maternity clothes or just for larger ladies and I didn't want to be rude and ask).

I did have a look at the little girls clothes and they were all so beautiful but so much to choose from, nearly too much but then I guess you can never have too much.
Congratulations! (I'm feeling all broody now).
Dorothy Perkins sell maternity clothes and I think I read somewhere that the larger branches of Top Shop do as well.
no bump yet? Did you order this one at Ikea maybe? If so it will be delivered as a flatpack and you will have to assemble it yourself. Make sure they include all the hinges!
Found your bump ...this lady had it delivered to her by mistake , she already has hers so she hasn't opened yours.

LOL jno, Ikea, Ikea Ikeaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhh.......

Mrwarpig has barred me from Ikea, not because I spend too much but because we need to go to Relate after every excursion there. I seriously think they should offer a counselling session just after you leave the check outs. And I don't think it is just us, on numberous occasions I have seen couples fall out, its like an advanced form of trolley rage-----Ikea Rage.

Thank you bigmamma, I shall get on the blower to e-bay directly and inform them of their error. I shouldn't really complain as one of my friends was really big at the start and she ended up like the side of a house, it was actually really stressful to see her, she looked and felt so uncomfortable, and had to walk with a sideways gait.
Awww a little girl! So pink everywhere? lol
I keep dreaming Im having a boy which probably means Im having another girl as I kept dreaming I was having a boy when I was having my daughter................even after I knew it was a girl! lol

As for clothes.........I have found the best place for jeans is Dorothy Perkins.........for normal trousers, I went to New Look and just got a bigger size in a stretchy material............as for tops, so far I have stuck with normal size floaty ones from wherever lol

I had a belly but not really a bump, but strangley I came out of hospital with a very rounded and solid bump! With my first I really didnt have a proper bump til I was around 5 months though. Dont worry, it will come.....and you will know about it! lol

Oh, just had a quick look at Katies Next link.

Lovely jubley, excellent.
Hiya, warpig - congratulations!!!! ('morning to all the rest of you, as well!) I didn't show till I was nearly 8 months, with K Jnr. It was quite embarrassing one day, when I went shopping for a nursing bra & was looking at them when a snotty assistant came over & said,"My dear, those are nursing bras - the ordinary ones are over there." I told her I knew that (did I look stupid?) and the baby was due in 6 weeks. You should've seen her face!
I lived in leggins - really comfy & elasticated waist, so no problems. If you look in some of the "baby" magazines (which I'm sure you're buying now!), there are loads of mail order maternity clothes, quite trendy, too. I wish I could remember the name of the company I got some of mine from, but it's nearly 19 yrs ago now & I'm going senile... K xx
