52 Answers
I have 2 days to go until I am due. No signs at all that it will be here before flippin Christmas. Not even dropped yet. Tried the curry and other stuff but nothing working I am in agony and all I can do is sit here all day watching rubbish day time telly. Any ideas. Don't mention S*x as I have SPD and can just about lift my legs on to the bed without feeling like i'm going to split in half. :(

I have just been told Ive got SPD, although they now call it Pelvic Girdle Pain, I have to wear a tubi grip bandage for support and if it gets worse, get crutches!! Ive still got another 15 weeks to go :(
As for getting your labour started, I tried everything and anything with my daughter but no luck, I ended up being induced when I was 10 days over.
Hopefully babyspanner will make an appearance very soon though, just make sure you get on here to let us know when you've gone into labour! lol

I'm a bit late on this thread I know, but just wondered how you were getting on spanner. This thread has made me laugh out loud, think I will subscribe to it in case I need it in a few months!
My friend has been signed off work with PGP and she is only 19 weeks but carrying twins, she can't lift her leg or climb stairs and still has ages to go! I really feel for her, poor lamb. To make matters worse, her daughter was one on Sunday so when the boys arrive she will have three under the age of 18months. I think she is mental.

haha well looks like I'm here for a while. Mum in law coming to midwife with me tomorrow so see what she has to say. I have now tried everything
nipple rubbing (gross)
Pineapple (ton of)
sex (not much fun when agony)
raspberry leaf tea
cant do the long walk and trampoline, I'd get on and my feet would touch the floor so wouldn't actually bounce anywhere lol

again, a stretch will only work if baby is in rigt position but worth asking for if you can face it.
Not sure what else to suggest unless you have anyone locally who does reflexology (thats the feet one isnt it?) as they can stimulate things by rubbing your foot. It worked for a woman i know.
I can sympathise with you hun, hope its not too long now x

I can imagine the whole bath bit. The link that Red put on the other day mentioned cardamon pods and something else. Think I'll smell like an indian take away by the time I have fiished haha. As for the wine, I get pi**ed on one glass and would get stuck in the bath. I can see it now front page of the local paper. Fireman called to get pregnant pi**ed up lady out of bath lol.
