Wondering how your all doing?
27 Answers
Particularly Red and Nat. I'm 36 weeks today, just one week away from you Nat, who do you think will be first?
I'm getting very bored now and to my horror, discovering new stretch marks daily. The stretch marks on my tummy look more like tiger stripes now. I have some on my boobs, my inner thigh and fresh ones on the backs of my legs. Please tell me I'm not the only one!!
How big are all your bumps? I thought mine was huge but after googling (yes I have resorted to googling things) I have discovered I'm probably about normal. Mr MB thinks baby is huge though because he's felt the length of his back and insists on telling me constantly that he thinks he is already a 9 lber. I'm now 3 stone heavier than pre-pregnancy and as much as the mirror shuders every time I go near it I'm kind of looking forward to the challenge of losing the excess few hundred pounds!! Have a good evening all xx

Dont take for granted you do have those 4 weeks to go though lol may only be a couple! I didnt worry about the stretch marks...... they didnt really show because I already had them from having my first daughter lol
A tip for losing weight........ breastfeed! The weight has dropped off me everything is going back into place very nicely. The trouble is, Im still wearing maternity jeans and theyre too big but I cant fit into my old jeans yet and I refuse to buy new jeans that I hopefully wont need for long as I want to get back into my old ones asap. So for now it looks like braces for me lol
Right, Id best get back to it! Good luck and keep us informed :)

Hey MB! I was 35 weeks yesterday. I hope you are first - my due date is now hurtling towards me and we're not all that prepared! LOL
I too have put on just under three stone, although only have stretch marks on my belly. I don't mind it so much as their appearance seems to form a pattern (not the actual lines LOL) in that I have sore belly for a day or two, where it feels really tight and strecthed, then the next day I wake up and find lots of nice new red marks, then the next day they are skin coloured and you can't see them! LOL. I am guessing that the pains I have are baby's spurt that lead to the stretch marks. As yet, I don't have any anywhere else but my boobs haven't actually grown any since falling pregnant (not a a bad thing considering I was 36DD in the first place LOL!).
I am having more trouble sleeping, too hot, too cold, too achey, need to pee, etc. But then I find that after a few days of no sleep I crash out and catch up all in one night (last night I fell asleep at 8:30 and slept through til 5:30 this morning). I am going through phases of loving the pregnancy and feeling really excited at meeting bubs for the first time, hating pregnancy and thinking "when will it all be over I've had enough now" and thinking "Holy sh*t! I'm going to have an actual real life baby very soon! Agh!". All to be expected though I suppose.
I did post this before but no-one answered.... :-(
But I don't know if any of you are on facebook? If you are, then there is an AB appreciation page (just put "Answerbank" into the search), and I am on there. If you are on FB then add me, it would be great to see pics of your little ones and share mine (I don't know how to post pics on here).
Anyway, hope you're all doing well - 4weeks tomorrow and I finish work for 6months - WOOOOOOHOOOO!!!!

Morning all.
Im 33 weeks and i can honestly say i probably have the biggest bump out of all of us. Luckily with this diabetes diet I have only put on 1.5 stones over the time but my bump is 2 weeks oversize and massive.
I think it may be a close thing on birth dates as I am unlikely to go overdue, especially if i need C-sect :(
Seeing midwife this morn and will see if bubs has moved yet. It doesnt feel like he/she can get head down and seems too big to fit so Im very anxious for my growth scan next week.

Awww, red. What day is your scan on? I will keep everything crossed for you, I am sure it will be fine xx
Midwife has said that everything is average about Mini-Nat, but my bump seems to have a mind of it's own. Sometimes it is enormous and one man even asked if I need a wheelbarrow to help me carry it (charmed!), then yesterday people were rubbing it saying "Are you sure your dates are right?". I think it depends on what I am wearing a lot of the time, but I seem to be carrying out front, and I have put little weight on else where, although I ammost definitely more wobbly and flubby. I am looking forward to getting out and taking long walks with bubs in the pram this summer; I hope the weather is good.

Thanks ladies. I'm glad you're all well. It's good to hear from you Psychick, I hope your little one is doing well.
Sounds like your coping well with the Diabetes thing Red, hope all goes well with the MW today. You never know, you might be around the same time as Nat and I.
Am I right that your first is a boy? 9lb 6oz, wow! Well, I just found out that one of my sil's first born was also 9lb and he is a boy, so the prospect doesn't look so daunting of him being a bigun! I just hope he'll be no bigger than that!
Nat, I'm glad it's not just me with the strecth marks. I'm glad all is well otherwise.
I hope you all have a good day, all my days have started merging into 1 since starting maternity leave. We've pretty much got everything ready now and I'm feeling alot less upset since losing our dog last week. I'm trying to keep active by doing a bit on the cross trainer daily and going with MrMB to walk the other other. I'm trying to ween myself off the TV but its not working!! LOL
All the best xx

Oh, ******, bum and poo :-(
There's still time for bubs to turn, but I'm afraid as for the medical stuff I am no wiser, although, I admit, it doesn't sound great :-(
You always have great advice on here, but I don't have any to offer I'd afraid. Will ask Mini-Nat to try and get a message to yours to turn though xx

I can't imagine what youmust be going through, although my friend feels exactly the same way. She has a 15month old and due to one of her twins being in breech they may have to perform c-section, and she is dreading it.
If it's any consolation, my friend that had her baby by c-section on Tuesday was told she would only be in for 5days, which isn't that long all told, when you consider your first day is the day it is performed, and your last day you will be going home - only 3 days in the middle. Does Mr Red get much time off paternity leave? Have you got family that could stay to help with your little boy?

Red I know how you feel about a c-section. When nasty midwife threatened me with one, I was horrified and stressed. And I dont have a toddler to worry about so it must be much worser for you. Just try and focus on the little bundle of joy you will be getting at the end of it all, you know it will all soon be forgotten and definately worth it.
natalie, I dont have facebook but do have myspace. I kept meaning to start a facebook profile thingy but never got round to it and probably wont now lol I dont even get chance to check emails most days! I will try and get round to it though.
mountainboo, I was 9lb 3oz and my brother was 9lb 11oz, the other 3 my mum had were all smaller and she says us two biggest were the easiest so dont worry about a big baby. I was told that had Holly been born on time and not early, she wouldve been 8 1/2 - 9 lb! Although given the fact I wasnt dialating, Im glad she wasnt that big lol

thanks girls. I had a good cry at lunch and feel a bit better. Mr CRX runs his own company and is part timje at firestation so he can get a lot of time off for 2 weeks. Over here they send you home on day 2 or 3 after c-sect but I was only taking 2 weeks off work as i work in our small family firm so have had to talk about that with mum and dad. Mum cant help with little CRX as then she couldnt work at company either.
But at the end of the day, if i need a c-sect then theres a reason for that which cant be helped eh. I just have to get on with it and cope as best i can.
xx

It always helps to have a good cry Red. I really feel for you and hope things get better for you.
Will they monitor you a bit more closely as maybe it would ease your concerns a bit if they did?
The fact that your measuring 37 wks at 33, does that mean that mini Red will come in 3 wks? I know you hate the idea of a C-sec but it will be just fine.
Try and take things easy Red. I know Mr Red is v busy but I'm sure he wouldn't object to pampering you a bit? How does your diabetes diet stand on Chinese Takeaways? Have one if it allows, it'll cheer you up xx

Problem I get when I'm bored is I do tend to spend, so my maternity could be very costly before the baby comes along! I'll have to take up some sort of 'bump' friendly hobby!
I did think of attending the new salsa dance class they've started here, but I don't think I'll find a dance partner with an inward stomach to counter mine!
Not a pretty sight!

thanks MB, chinese isnt really allowed but did sneak one the other day and it didnt effect me too much, might get one at weekend.
Im being monitored, had a scan at 28 weeks, then found had the gestational diabetes and saw a nurse for that and got monitor etc. Saw midwife today, got scan next weds, then consultant 2 weeks after (at 36 weeks) when they will have a fair idea whats to happen.
My midwife has recommended a homeopathic remedie which is a herb that you burn by your feet which encourages baby to move. Worth a try.
sis, thank you but wouldnt want you to lose out on holiday to help me, its nice to know that you all care though xx
