Book a C section on same day, and we can have lots of AB babies :-)

you know i dont like needles 4get!!!

The word C-Section goes though me, if they even mention epidural I'll have a panick attack! I had to be knocked out last time!!!

Good idea though 4get x
The thought of having to have a c-section scares the pants off me! Think I shall just wait, ta :-)

I'm amazed at how many on here dont want a C section. Nowadays most have it and I think some as an easy way out. Good on you all
not most 4get. at QEH i think its 21% or something
Question Author
thats coz we're tuff round ere :-) But all these famous people that just cant be bothered. I'd hate to have a C section I know sometimes you have no choice but I couldnt stand the thought of someone cutting me open
My theory on celebs and C-sections are that they have a tummy tuck at the same time so they look super duper fab the moment they come out of hospital! Cheets!
I'm not against c-sections because I take the moral hgh ground or anything, if I had to have one, of course I would. I am just incredibly queasy and just the thought of it makes me feel icky! Oddly, a natural birth doesn't have the same effect. At the moment. Ask me again in a few weeks.
did you know that the NHS are looking at doing 'mummy tucks' in the future for those that have had multiple c-sects. They do it same time as a c-sect and help remove that lower bit that seems to hange around after a c-sect.
Do you think it'd be cheeky to ask if they could fit a boob lift in with that aswell?
lol

to me I feel a natural birth makes you feel a bit more bonded with the child
one of the most natural and loving mothers i know has had 4 c-sects 4get.
I nearly had to have a C section with my youngest and i was mortified, no way would i ever opt for that over a natural birth, i think its wonderful. painful but wonderful! wouldnt change a thing if i did it again, (not that i ever will)

Yer I dont think I quite worded that right. I;m not saying mothers that have c-sections dont love their children I mean Id rather give birth naturally go through all that for my baby than get cut open taken out there you go. After giving birth surely it feels like youve done all that hard work but it was worth it. Do you get me?
i know what youre trying to say 4get but i suppose that unless youve experienced both then you cant know :)

I'd opt for a boob job! LOL

I had an emergency C-section under general and waking up after a major op was horrific! I can't remember meeting my son for the first time and had to ask to be wheeled down to SCBU to see my son. It broke my heart!

If I have to have another, then it will have to be last resort! I want to experience natural birth, and be awake this time!
Question Author
well I havent experienced either so no, but thats how I feel. I think I;d go lipo on the thighs
See, lipo makes me feel queasy too.

I think a ift would be nice, but I don't want anything added or removed - just perked up a bit ;-)
I haven't had both, but I have had two sections - one emergency after a very very long labour the second planned as it was 13 months after my first and there was concern about the same circumstances reoccurring - large baby lying back to back and getting stuck - with the added complication of a scar that they were not sure would hold during labour. Neither was a cop out and the recovery time after a section is usually much longer than a natural birth. The second planned section was much better in that I did not have a protracted labour first, and much less blood loss and was therefore in a much better place to recover faster - with two babies by then, I needed it!

I can't say whether the bonding would have been better with a natural birth, but i certainly did not have any issues with bonding. I was just happy to have a healthy baby both times!

I wouldn't necessarily recommend opting for a cs, but I would not worry if that is what you end up with. At the end of the day, it is more important to have a safe delivery for mother and baby than to get hung up on whether the baby came out the door or the sunroof.

Unless it is particularly traumatic or you have to have a general, your heart will still melt as they hold up your newborn after the birth.

Hope it all goes well for all the new arrivals and that one of them comes soon!
