Morning Red, sounds like you're having good signs though! I had my first anti-natal class last night. I wasn't going to go as I went on my first, but my hubby was away with Army last time and he wanted to go to have a giggle!

He came from there a bit worried I think, with all the truths about what ACTUALLY happens (not like in the films!) Bless him! x x x x x
Morning ladies - Red, that sounds promising! Don't overdo it though xx

I barely slept atall last night so when hubby went to work I made the most of having the whole bed to myself and nodded off again only for someone to ring me at 8.24 and wake me up to find out if I had had the baby yet. Scream? I could have murdered her.

The mildly good news being the reason I didn't sleep well is because I had pains in my right side all night, that began the previous night but prevented me from sleeping in any position other than on my left side, which I know is good for circulation but is bad for the weight being put on my ribs and hips (and ear strangely enough).

LOL Andrea, your poor husband - I have heard that a lot though. We had booked to go to the antenatal class but that was the weekend we had severe gails and I was absolutely shattered and wouldn't have made it through a 5hour session starting at 9am on a Saturday morning! We were too late to get into any other classes by then though.

Hope you all have a good day, I am going to make the most of the sunshine and nip down to the shops this morning and my friend is coming round this afternoon for a cup of tea with her new little twin (the other one is in special care but he seems to be doing really good so can't wait to see them both together). Catch up later xx

P.S. I haven't checked any other threads yet - still no word from Lorry?
its no laughing matter is it. Far from the 2 mins of moaning and maybe one big scream for the final push...... oh if only

maybe men think we put it on for effect lol

im hoping that 4get hasnt had a premonition of my day today too. Nots sure a 12lb 3ozs baby is gonna be easy lol
natalie, text them all, saying youve had a baby girl called April and then turn your phone off pmsl

Was the pain in your side like a stitch type pain? I had something like that and never worked out what it was but it wasnt nice so you have my every sympathy! xx
Not a bad idea re the April fool. I really would love to just unplug the landline and switch off moby, but my nan has Altzherimers and rings 6-7 times a day; if I don't answer one phone she rings the other and she worries and gets herself into a right pickle so it is usually easier to answer, tell her I am fine and that I will ring her when we have news then let her go.... for half an hour until she calls back and asks how I am getting on again LMAO
At least she has an excuse though bless her which is more than my friend has! Pah.

It's just like a stitch pain red! I think I have pulled a muscle or ligament or something when trying to turn over in bed, I don't think it is actually anything to do with baby being on it's way atall, more that my enormous belly is preventing me from moving LOL!

Just got back from shops and going to have a rest now :-)

Catch you all later xx

Just got back from midwife appointment, bit disappointed my BP has gone up! Has been in the 120/60 (ish) but it was 120/90 to begin with! It went down to 120/85 after they talked to me for a bit!

Really hope history isn't repeating itself!

Hope you all are well x x x x
How was everything else andrea? Has babys head engaged yet?
Question Author
Hi Psychick

Her head is down now, and feel like there is more pressure there, but not engaged! As it's my second, the midwife said she might pop back up again though!

She definatly had a good time last night re-arranging my vital organs!

I wont tell you what i was calling her last night! She's forgiven now when I heard her little heart beat! Ahhh!

Any news on Lorry?
Evening all - I'm still here and still not getting any signs of anything happening any time soon :-(

I am keeping myself busy during the days and looking forward to Thursday when I have my 40wk appt and can talk to midwife about induction.

I haven't seen anything from Lorry - just off to have my dinner, will catch up in the morning if not before x

Morning Ladies,

Hope you had a good night, bump gave me a better night, but I'm rotten with the cold! I'm having a poor me day in my Jim-Jams!

Morning all!

I had an uncomfy night. I turned over in bed and swear i could feel bub very low down.

This morning i got my usual gravity enforced twinges when i stood up but then an awful feeling of everything coming down. I never got this with first so can only assume that baby is head down and ready to go. I see midwife tomorrow and i think that if she tells me baby isnt engaged and i still feel like this i will scream lol

Ive got no BHs or contractions so hopefully nothing happening at moment, poor MR CRX is working at station today and is 60 miles away from me as Im at my mums.
Morning Andrea, poor you having a cold - I had one when I was about 37weeks and it seemed to take ages to shifts. Fongers crossed at least you're getting it out the way now before you go further along.
Was high BP the reason you had a c-section before? When will you know more about whether they will do it for this pregnancy too?

I slept a lot better last night and aside from wandering down to the shop for a magazine I don't have a lot planned today. I'm trying to get out and have a little walk every day in an attempt to get things moving along but baby seems quite happy where they are now. People must think I'm a right grotty cow because I only have one jumper that I can comfortably pull over my belly and a pai r of elasticated jeans that are supposed to go over the bump but after 6steps end up below! LOL. I'm sure they must pity the baby already for having a mum who wears the same scabby green jumper everyday!

I have my 40week appt tomorrow morning first thing, and I can't wait for that - I hope she can give me a date for an induction, although I don't really want to have to be inducded :-( I'll be glad to see her anyway and find out if everything seems to be heading in the right direction so to speak xx
Morning Red, your post wasn't there when I posted!

I hope my midwife tells me baby is engaged tomorrow too. At 38week appt s/he wasn't, then when I had to get BP checked last week she said s/he was 3/5 engaged but last night I could feel what I am sure was a bum in my right ribs and movement in my left hip so I thought they might have popped out. I haven't had any BH (or none that I have noticed) or anything else, apart from baby moving since the weekend which is annoying because last week I was getting lots of pains and signals that things might be happening, but this week it seems to have all stopped. Saying that, I have made a conscious effort to ignore the twinges if possible so that I don't get hung up on it and have been trying to keep busy so maybe I just haven't noticed them so much. I don't know. Well I am off for my morning wander, catch you later xx

Nat - LOL

My kangaroo pouch style jeans have had to be customised (cutting the band) to allow for bump and as I refused to buy maternity wear as they are sooo expensive, I end up looking pretty much the same, belly and outie belly button on show!! But at the moment I don't care!

Yes BP was reason for my last c-section, I had pre-eclampsia. But to be honest, I think being enduced and going into rapid labour was what done it! So they don't seem too worried at the moment, think it's just me worrying too much!

Moning Red

Would say sorry about your uncomfortable feelings, but sound like all good news to me, so fingers cross.

Also I wouldn't worry about the whole head engage thing, as it's you second, it can all happen in one go. My sis saw her midwife day before giving birth and the head wasn't down. She even planned a servical sweep for the following week in prep, but it all kicked off that evening and out out popped Lewis! x x x x x
