Boy or Girl?!
Just out of interest, I know some of the old wives tales but does anyone know the different signs between a boy or girl whilst pregnant or can you really not tell?
I'm in my 17Th week & absolutely dying to know whether i's a little girl or boy! x

Jillius, I don't know, I couldn't chose.. I would honestly love both eventually as this is my first. We've done names for girl or boy so I guess we'll see in a couple of weeks. I'm in my 17Th week, I wonder if I should bring my scan forawrd!! I'm just dying to know! Congratulations on a girl, that's fantastic news x
redcrx thats really strange, cos in my part of the world we say you carry out front for a boy, and that was right for me. You couldnt tell i was prgnant apart from behind or anywhere apart from my basketball style bump. I never had any outbreaks with my boys though and my friend who carried girls at the same time as me suffered with terrible spots and a big fat bum too lol
I have seen photos of my mum when she was pregnant with me and she was massive all over she looked like a beach whale but she had no sickness at all.
My friend was told all the way through her pregnancy by the doctors that she was having a boy and then when the time came a little girl popped out. lol
good luck. xx

My two boys were both carried out front and high - the midwife was impressed with how perfectly round the bump was! It actually looked like I had a medicine ball stuffed up my jumper.
So I don't think there is any way to tell - I always "felt" that they were boys though and everyone kept saying they were as well - even the guy serving in the office canteen.
I didn't find out in advance - in our health area at the time you only got a dating scan unless there were any issues and they also had a policy not to tell you anyway.
Its better to have the surprise........honest ;o)

They told me when I had my 12 week Nuchal scan, they were 90% sure I was carrying a boy and this was confirmed at my 20 week scan.
I've been told if you hold a ring or needle suspended from a piece of sewing thread you can tell the sex. If it swings side to side, you're having a boy and if it travels in a circular motion, then it's a girl.
When I tried this, it went circular for a irl, so probably not accurate. Going by Redcrx's list, I have the traits which means boy. My skin is clear, I'm off sweet things, in favour of savoury, but have heard the opposite, that if you're all bump, then it's a boy, which I am.
