What do you mean your hormone 'balance' is really low? That is not a medical term. Also who told you it was 'low'?

If your doctor thinks you need hormone supplements to help you concieve then he or she will prescribe them to you.

It is always advisable to eat healthily to aid conception, avoid processed foods such as white bread, don't drink alcohol and don't smoke.

me and my hubby are under the hospital, but they say we would need a miracle to concieve naturally, i was told the normal hormonal balace for a woman of child bearing age is 50 mine is 2! we were not offered anything, no help or anything,
i dont understand this either, what is 2 and should be 50?

i think its just what the female hormone level should be, in order to produce fertile eggs and have normal periods and hold a baby, im irregular, so jus want something to make them regular. like i said the hosp and docs are done with us, cos we need a miracle!
perhaps the progesterone level?

Anyway, if it is that, it might mean you are not ovulating. If hormone tablets would help they will prescribe them for you - do you have any more appointments? I can't believe they sent you away with so little information an no plan for what would happen now.

It might be that the only thing that could be offered is IVF treatment, but i really think they would have told you! When is your next appointment? you need to write down your questions and ask them next time you go, till you are answered to your satisfaction. Your GP may well be able to help if she has recieved a report from the hospital.
One other thing i have heard is that acupuncture can help regulate menstrual cycles and aid in conception, but i don't think there is any proof from medical trials, and i would be wary about spending money on stuff that has no grounding in fact (unless you are rich!)
PS if you dont fit your local nhs's criteria for ivf treatment, it might be worth saving up now for private treatment (about £4500 per cycle)
criteria is often based on:
Age (not too young or old)
weight (no BMI over 30)
whether you/ partner already have any children either naturally or by adoption (automatically disbars you)
and various other criteria
i have to say, im amazed that a consultant would have sent you away with such little info or assistance.

as bednobs says, you need to go back armed with further questions

been offered ivf, at 2000 (egg share scheme) but is less than 50per cent of sucsess.
my husband has quit smoking and drinking and is gaining weight by going to a gym(hes skinny) i just want to make sure if we do get caught im not gonna lose it, bought sum primrose oil tabs today, i just dont know which vitamins are for the hormones.
Question Author
we dont have another appointment with anyone, they said we would need a miracle or ivf and thats it, so its left to us now and a miracle.
is the hormone problem due to early menopause or something as i notice from search facility that you do have a child
You could try these:

At least they are a well known brand and not just some 'snake-oil' type remedy.

i dont know redcrx, could be stress levels, im always stressed!!!!!
you dont say how old you are, but the fact that you have a child means that your body has changed for some reason. Thats what you need the tests and further advice from the consultant for.

and as you have carried a child to term, should you fall pregnant via IVF then your chances of carrying should be good
If your hormonal balance is low, it may be progesterone you're short of, in which case use a natural progesterone cream, also look up certain foods that enhance hormonal balance. They work!! Don[t drug yourself with hormones, they can cause cancer. I once went to enquire about HRT and came out with a leaflet about cancer. That's because the drug companies don't want to be sued. They know very well what they do.
