Has anyone got a list of essentials for a newborn?
I dont seem to be able to access one at the moment

essentials
Some means of feeding, breast feedings needs nothing for baby, bottle feeding, bottles, teats, steriliser, formula.

basic clothese, newborns can pretty much live in babygros but expect 3 changes a day.

nappies, get some newborn and some next stage up if using disposables, nappy sacks, wetwipes of cotton wool and water

sudocrem

scratch mittens

hat to keep head warm

blankets

somewhere to sleep,

pushchair / pram or sling

how basic do you want the list?

How many baby gros vest etc

as i said, expect about 3 changes a day. vest and babygro, rest depends on how ofrten youll have washing on

tbh at the price they are in supermarkets, you may as well get 9 or 12 of each (they are usually in packs of 3 or 6)

i would also add if you are going to breastfeed then a breast pump is very useful, i used a hand one that came with a bottle and its own microwave steriliser. its so handy to use for when you are very full and its hard to get baby latched on, plus you can use what you get for the hungry evenings! and you will need cream for sore boobs!
a wrap sling is great for newborns so you can hold them while getting things done.
for a baby bath i used a large plastic storage box and then when they are too big for it, it can be used as a toy box!

Also a car seat to get them home from hospital! Some hospitals wont let baby go home in car without one.
